The church of St Wistan consists of nave and chancel under one roof, south porch, west tower, vestry, and north chapel. It is built of rubble, chiefly ironstone, with some limestone dressings, and lead roofs.

Visitors are always welcome. Services are from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. Winter Services resume at St Luke’s Church, Newton Harcourt on Sunday 5th October. Harvest Festival at St Luke's Church on Sunday 28th September at 6.30pm - followed by Harvest Supper in the Reading Room.

St Wistan's church lies almost a half mile east of the notional centre of Wistow. The church has an early core based on both the Norman period and also into the 13th century.
