Welcome to Wistow in Leicester, a beautiful and historic English hamlet in rolling countryside just a few miles south of Leicester and north of Market Harborough.

Famous for the Wistow Maze (with new design and quiz trail each summer), the thriving Rural Centre with its large garden centre, model village, café/bistro, Mediterranean deli, art gallery and a variety of shops - press on the Rural Centre tab for full list of shops & numbers).

There are numerous country walks around St Wistan’s Church and the Grand Union Canal, attractive cottages and flats for rental, and views of historic Wistow Hall with its scenic parkland and lake.

The maze is now CLOSED.

It will re-open in July 2017 with a new design and quiz trail.

For 2016, to mark the centenary of Roald Dahl's birth, the maze was designed in the shape of the "BFG" (Big Friendly Giant), and the Quiz Trail was themed on Classic Children's Books and their Authors.

Being an agricultural field please wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and after rain wellies are advisable as the maths do get muddy!


Summer Fun for all the Family

The award-winning 8 acre maize maze has a fun Quiz Trail hidden amongst 3 miles of intricate pathways, with high level bridges & towers giving stunning panoramic views. Also includes an Activity Funyard full of mini mazes and games for all ages.

MUSIC IN THE PARK - Saturday 10th June 2017

A great evening for all ages. This highly popular annual charity concert is taking place on Saturday 10th June in the beautiful grounds of Wistow Hall (by kind permission of the Brooks family).

Bring your own picnic and enjoy a wonderful evening listening to music by local covers band 'Double Yellers' and the award winning 'Ratby Brass Band'.
The evening finishes with a fabulous fireworks display infront of Wistow Hall.

The concert is raising money for "LOROS" (hospice) and "Young Leicestershire" (supporting young people to achieve their full potential).

The concert is organised by the Wigston Rotary Club, and the compere is Carolyn Oldershaw.

Tickets can be bought from 7th April from Ken Baileys at Wistow Rural Centre, Palmers in Enderby & Ullesthorpe and at all 28 LOROS Shops throughout Leicestershire & Rutland, including Oadby, Blaby, Market Harborough, Wigston, Leicester High Street, Uppingham Road, Welford Road and Queens Road Bookshop.

Gazebos can be erected from 11am onwards on the Saturday, but please speak to an organiser before putting up your gazebo so he can direct you. Any belongings left in the field is done so at your own risk.
